Situated in a prominent position on Morecambe seafront, the Ashley commands breathtaking views over Morecambe Bay and to the Lake District hills beyond. We are a family run guest house offering quality accommodation and food, and a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Double, twin-bedded, single and family rooms available - all bedrooms are en-suite and non-smoking, have individual heaters, colour TVs, refreshment facilities, hairdryers, shaver points, safes and complimentary toiletries. An iron/ironing board and cot/highchair are also available on request.

Breakfast is served in our spacious Dining Room between 7.15am and 9.00am - choose from fruit juice or grapefruit segments, cereals, and a hearty traditional English cooked breakfast. We use only the highest quality produce, including local butchers' sausage, bacon and eggs, vine-ripened tomatoes, mushrooms & fried bread. Toast & preserves follow and a choice of freshly brewed ground coffee from local coffee specialists, J Atkinson & Co of Lancaster, or Taylors of Harrogate 'Yorkshire' tea, 'Earl Grey' or Fruit tea - a great way to start your day! We also cater for vegetarians and special diets on request. If you require an early breakfast, please let us know.
Our Dining Room and first floor Guests' Lounge have the most wonderful views across Morecambe Bay and to the rear of the Guest House you can see across towards Lancaster, Clougha Pike and the Forest of Bowland.
We are situated in an area of outstanding beauty and have much to offer walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers, as well as those of you visiting Morecambe to see friends, attend a special occasion, on holiday or for business - all are most welcome.
Secure storage available for bicycles and, for the motorist, there is ample free on-street parking available and 4 private spaces to the rear of the Guest House (cars parked on our private car park at owners' risk).
Open all year round, we welcome single visitors, couples, families and small groups - however, please note that we do not accept bookings for hen or stag parties.
We are now a non-smoking guest house.

Directions to The Ashley

The Ashley is located on the Morecambe's East promenade, close to the Town Hall. It is well placed to explore the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales as well as the local coastline. How to get here:- By Road From the South From the M6 Junction 34, follow the signs for 'Morecambe', then 'East/Central Promenade'. Turn left at the Broadway and the Ashley is around 1/4 mile along the sea-front, before the Town Hall. Parking in front of the Hotel is unrestricted and we have 4 private car parking spaces at the rear of the property (cars parked on our private car park at owner's own risk). There is also a pay & display car park to the rear of the Hotel. From the North From the M6 Junction 35, take the A6 following the signs for 'Morecambe'. Turn right at the traffic lights after Bolton-le-Sands. On reaching Morecambe, the Ashley can be found about 1 mile along the sea-front, before the Town Hall. By Rail The nearest station is Morecambe, on the Lancaster to Heysham line. From Morecambe station, take a taxi, or walk along Northumberland Street to the sea-front, turn right, and you will find the Ashley on the right after about 1/2 mile. By Bus From Lancaster Bus Station, take a No3 or No4 bus to Morecambe and ask to be dropped off at the Town Hall. The Ashley is approximately 150 yards back.

The hotel had a power cut on the afternoon we were due to arrive and the host took the trouble to call me to make me aware.

We received clear information by text about what to do on our arrival and the key was waiting for us on the desk in the hall. This was all very efficient and helpful. The room was comfortable. The view from the Loung and dining room is stunning and the hotel itself has character. I would certainly stay there again.

This is a frendly small hotel with magnificent views across Morecambe Bay to the Lake District. Although this is a fairly old house the rooms and beds are comfortable, the proprietors helpful and the breakfasts well prepared and generous.
