The food at this inn came highly recommended however, on check in we were told the restaurant is closed on sunday night. The inn itself was warm and friendly however the room we had left alot to be desired. It was very basic and shabby. The shower curtain was mouldy and the bath panel was cracked and falling off. The sliding door to the ensuite did not close. Instead of a headboard was a burning hot radiator which we had to turn off. Overall it was extremely disappointing. |

Accommodation is not within the hotel but a very short walk along the road. Details of hotel on website make a lot of the pub atmosphere, but gives little details of rooms. Single room fronts onto footpath and main road with traffic noise. Room stank of stale cigarette smoke and even with window open would not clear. Very unpleasant. Room was clean and bed comfortable but had TV (no remote) on a broken table, room generally tired and not of a standard I would have expected given the price charged. Request for an breakfast at 07-30 because of a business meeting was not enthusiastically received, though was ready as promised. Telephoned hotel and was promised a call back when manager on duty. Never received call. Very disappointing stay for a person who regularly stays in similar priced hotels. |

On the Saturday night we stayed, In the bar was Live entertainment from 9.00 pm - 12 midnight followed by very noisy jukebox and customers until late very little sleep. The following morning the customer service was appalling! |

The friendliness of the staff is great. The food of the highest quality. Value for money good. The only thing we weren’t impressed with was the fact that in the 7days we stayed the bed wasn’t changed once and we weren’t given any clean towels. We did put the towels in the bath on a couple of occasions to signify that they were dirty but they were put back on the radiators. |

The hotel was very friendly and the food very good. The only disadvantage was that as we travelled with a disabled daughter (the hotel were not aware) it would have helped having a banister on the other side of the stairs. |
