The Avenue, a family run Guest House in Murrayfield, Edinburgh. Perfectly located in one of the premier residential districts of the city, you will be within walking distance of the city centre and minutes walk from the International Rugby stadium. The Avenue provides en-suite rooms for singles, partners or families. Facilities include free Fast wireless internet, in-room coffee and tea facilities and TV.

The Avenue is a magnificent property on the beautiful tree-lined Murrayfield Avenue in Edinburgh. This warm and friendly B&B is run by Jackie and Adrian Hayes who have taken care of guest needs for 14 years. This large Victorian property provides the traveler or business person the opportunity to stay in this splendid part of town, within easy reach of the centre, minutes walk from the International rugby stadium, or simply act as a base from which to explore the beauty of Central Scotland.
The Avenue has 9 rooms over 3 floors, each traditionally decorated in line with the period nature of the building. There is a choice of Single, Double or Family rooms to suit all requirements. All rooms are en-suite,with TV and coffee and tea making facilities. Fast Wireless internet is also free so you can stay in touch.
The Avenue also has the great benefit of free on-street parking right outside.
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants on the doorstep, and the centre of town is very close (5 minutes by car or 15 minutes walk) where all requirements can be catered for.

By Train... Approximately 1/2 mile away from Haymarket Station and 1.5 miles from Waverley Station. Take any bus (26, 12) heading for Murrayfield and get off at Roseburn. MurrayCross over the street where Murrayfieldfield Avenue is directly across from the bus stop.'The Avenue' is on the left hand side, second house. By Air From Edinburgh Turnhouse Airport, a Taxi takes about 15 minutes and costs about £15. A bus service operates (100) and costs approx £3.50 each way. This bus stops in Murrayfield (opposite the BMW garage). The journey should take only 15-20 minutes. From the bus stop The Avenue is 2 minutes walk. Walk in the direction of the bus and take the second left onto Murrayfield Avenue. 'The Avenue' is on the left hand side, second house. By Car From the M8, head towards the City centre. Follow the signs to head to the Western Approach. Just before the Western Approach, turn left towards Murrayfield stadium. Follow the road round and turn left at the end into Roseburn. Murrayfield Avenue is just after the shops and past a small discrete bridge, on the right. 'The Avenue' is the second property on the left. From Princes street, head down Shandwick place and continue for 1.5 miles until you enter the Roseburn Area with it's parade of shops. Parking on Murrayfield Avenue is unrestricted and so you are free to park there. There are some restrictions in place on other roads, particularly when there are International rugby matches.

We would have rated the customer service higher (very friendly) but unfortunately we had to pay in full as soon as we stepped through the door without even having seen our room!..despite guest information in the room saying that guests pay at the end of their stay. Nice hotel with lots of bus services into town etc. Luckily other than our initial reservations regarding the 'welcome' we enjoyed our stay.

Located fairly close to Haymarket Station and very close to main road (Corstorphine Road). Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff - particularly Jackie - very friendly and welcoming.

The guesthouse overall and the room itself were beautiful. The hospitality was brilliant. The breakfast was amazing. It is in a great location for both Murrayfield Stadium and the city centre with excellent transit links.
