Seacrest Guesthouse

Very nice, cheerful welcome on arrival on a rainy day in Whitby. The room was small as was the bathroom. However, as we were only staying for the weekend this as not really a concern. Breakfast was very nice and overall a really pleasant stay, would certainly recommend for a short break.

I stayed at the Seacrest with my husband in a lovely double room. Although it was a small room it was lovely and cosy and very clean and warm. The bed was very comfortable. My daughter and my mother stayed at the same time in the family room. This was really quite large and was also very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was very good with an excellent choice and very well cooked. I am vegetarian and had a lovely selection of food. There was also a wide variety of fruit available, with cereals and toast and jam as well. Allison and Andy were very helpful and friendly. They have not been running the guesthouse very long but are doing a wonderful job and I wish them every success. We would stay there again. Hope to see you again.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and all the usual facilities were offered, the hospitality tray was regularly refilled. Breakfasts were large and comprised good, well cooked food, variations were available on request. Andy and Alison were eager to please.
The only possible criticism is that the room and en suite bathroom were small. Free on street car parking nearby was often difficult, once a convenent space is found it pays to leave the car and walk, nowhere in Whitby is very far for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.
