A very friendly, couple run, country pub with good quality accommodation. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the food. Village is very nice (although I didn't spend too long there). Convenient and friendly alternative to staying in Wantage. Would return for business or leisure. |

The Chequers Inn was easy to find, my sat nav took me to the door. Inside the Inn felt fresh and clean having recently been refurbished to a good standard. The bedroom was a good size and had every thing I needed for a comfortable stay, the bed itself being very comfortable. Unfrotunately I didn't have dinner in their restaurant but the full cooked breakfast in the morning was excellent. It's in an ideal location if you are visiting the Williams F1 headquarters as this is only 4.8 miles down the road at Grove and the country lanes take you to within a mile so you miss the rush hour traffic. |
