You will receive a warm welcome from your hosts Bob and Cynthia Emery. Our privately owned 16th century Inn situated in 9 acres of its own land set in idyllic surroundings on the banks of the River Derwent. Our tastefully decorated and intimate restaurant offers the ideal environment in which to dine and relax in an informal atmosphere.
Relax and take a meal in our cosy bar complete with real log fires. We serve a wide range of hand pulled ales and fine wines from around the world.
Our menu consists of dishes produced fresh by our head chef and his dedicated team. The menu is a mix of modern European and traditional food using only the finest quality produce brought together in an eclectic style.

absolutely fantastic place, room- fresh fruit,bottled water, only small downside was heat in room,thoug a fan was provided.
beautiful food,value-stayed in places 3 times the price and not a patch on this little oasis.
location excellent,staff excellent, will i be back? cant wait..

A great deal of thought has gone into everything to ensure a comfortable homely stay. Exceptionally clean with new decor & furniture. All staff very friendly & helpful. The food was all excellent & home made. Bar & restaurant food avialable.Lovely location close to river walks. Will be returning soon.
