Welcome to Netherdene, our country house bed and breakfast set in its own beautiful garden in the English Lake District National Park. Netherdene has
been welcoming guests through its doors f or many years and would like to extend a warm welcome to guests old and new.
Located in the hamlet of Troutbeck, near to the local inn, Netherdene offers real Lakeland hospitality. Whether you want a relaxing break, a well placed base from which to explore the lakes or a stopover on a coast to coast adventure, our comfortable family friendly accommodation offers real value for money.
We are situated half way between Penrith and Keswick. Penrith is at J40 of the M6 motorway and also benefits from excellent rail links. This prime location means we are ideally placed for the picturesque lake Ullswater with its famous steamers that run all year round. A pleasant 4 mile walk will take you to the foot of Blencathra and its famous Sharp Edge. Other popular Wainright walks are located it the surrounding areas of the beautiful market town of Keswick, situated on the shore of Derwent Water approximately 10 miles away.

From Junction 40 M6 Motorway (Penrith), Follow A66 signed for Keswick. Go straight ahead at the first roundabout and contiue on the A66 for approximately 5 miles. Take the left hand turn off for the A5091 signposted Ullswater. As you come down the hill the house is located almost immediately on your right hand side.

Situated for easy access from motorway and good base for all areas of Lakes.
Family owned/run and that is what really makes the difference, could not wish to meet nicer people. Made to feel welcome and part of family.

Nice warm welcome and very friendly and accomodating hosts. Also dog friendly which makes a big difference. Will certainly be coming back.

excellent service from the first minute to the last. very friendly family environment. highly recommended if a quiet get-away break is what you need. my wife and i will certainly be going back to this particular house in the future.

Excellent place to stay, a very warm welcome I would love to stay again. I would recommend it to anybody. Very friendly family, very nice breakfast including a pullet egg for my partner Jane, who only eats small portions, it is the little things that count. Hope to be back soon .
