Beauchamp Hotel

The hotel is a nice hotel, clean and in a good location just a short walk from Russell square (Picadilly) or Holborn (Central Line or Picadilly) tube stations. Quite a few nice bars and restaurants nearby. We had a nice big room with two double beds for a family of 4 and it was nice to have a room that had additional space and not two double beds crammed into a room. Only thing I was not happy about was the rooms not being cleaned until 5pm in the afternoon, after a hard day's trecking round London, one likes a nap at that time of the day!

Staff gave poor directions over the phone. Room was very nice but as it seemed to be below a corridor, it was noisy early in the morning.

In spite of booking two double rooms for 1 adult occupation well in advance, the hotel messed up the reservation and I ended up staying in a box room with little space other than for a single bed and no storage facilities. I was offered a complimentary breakfast by way of compensation but the message was not passed on to reception who attempted to charge me when I checked out. Not a good experience which was a shame because the hotel was well presented from a finishes and aesthetic point of view.

This was a fab hotel, right in the center of London. A leisurely 10 mins walk to Covent Garden. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Despite a hiccup at the start, the airconditioning leaked, we were promptly moved without a quibble. Will def stay here again.
