Not very impressed with the cleanliness of the public areas or the general quality of the room. We did stay on a saturday before Christmas but we were not expecting the crowds and party that was happening downstairs in the bar. After an evening out we returned to the hotel we struggled through the packed crowd to the hotel lift. We were knocked about just with the sheer volume of people and at one point someone tried to pick a fight with my husband because we knocked into them! As we waited for the lift another guest was sick all over the floor. |

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a central, stylish, cosy, comfortable, cheerful hotel. Having previously taken taxis from the airport we decided this time to take the Air coach bus which runs every 15 minutes and within 1/2 an hour we were dropped off beside the hotel (fantastic timing for rush hour Friday). The hotel entrance & reception is beautiful, lovely decor and attention to detail (staff were in great mood putting up the Christmas decorations). Check in was pleasant and the friendly porter gave us a mini tour as he showed us to out room. The very elegant and lively bar down stairs was really enticing. Our room was very comfortable and clean and surprisingly quiet (there was a generator to the rear of our room that cut in every so often but did not take from a good night sleep). Decided not to eat in this hotel as we wanted to sleep in and really enjoyed sampling local restaurants (Bewley's was a real treat). We will stay here again. |

Hotel, room and bar were beautiful. Very clean, with good attention to detail-was particularly impressed by platter of freshly prepared fruits. Very comfy bed, with high quality bedding, lovelly bathroom with free-standing, claw-footed, roll-top bath. Thought it a bit odd that one of dressing gowns provided was taken by housekeeping but a replacement not left. Also, surprised no kettle in room, however, tea/coffee complimentary via room service. Breakfast in bed tasty but minimal. Didn't eat in hotel otherwise. Thoroughly enjoyed stay there. |
