Hotel has had recent change of management. In need of refurbishment. Very friendly staff but also very young and amateur. Hotel position excellent at Ironbridge but there are many altenative hotels of about the same cost and clearly nicer and better managed. This hotel was basically a public house. |

Beautiful riverside setting and charming room in a historic building. Inadequte parking provision, causing problems for loading/unloading family-quantity luggage etc. Largely ignored by staff, little attempt at customer care. Disgusting, nauseating odour of chip fat/beer in all areas except bedroom. Inadequately staffed at breakfast time, one girl managing all front-of-house customers. Load pounding music till 1 am on Saturday night from bar (and we were in attic room!). No shower cubicle. Sunday morning breakfast time - seating/restaurant area had not been adequately cleaned from night before. Not a nice atmosphere for children, despite family rooms. |

The location was perfect very near the IronBridge, fanastic menu and food. Rooms lovely. However this is a very busy pub and we were staying on a friday night so despite the hotel having some great qualities it was very noisy! For this reason i wouldnt stay there again. |
