Roundhouse Barn Holidays

Roundhouse Barn St Just in Roseland, Nr St Mawes

The Roundhouse Barns, it’s the perfect place for adults to relax, unwind and escape the stresses and strains of modern life. We offer luxury, four star accredited accommodation within two stunningly converted 17th century Cornish barns, surrounded by rolling fields and set within beautifully landscaped, tranquil gardens. From the top of our winding drive there are breath-taking views of the Fal estuary, towards Falmouth, Mylor and Flushing. We are on hand to welcome you with home-baked scones, Cornish clotted cream, locally sourced strawberry jam and Tregothnan tea – so you’ll feel right at from the moment you arrive. We have three one-bedroomed self catering cottages - Cockle Cottage, The Dairy and The Carthouse. All our barns are tastefully decorated with high quality linen and stylish soft furnishings. Wi-Fi/internet access is provided free of charge and all cottages are equipped with TV, DVD and CD players so you can connect with friends and family, enjoy a movie or listen to your favourite music. Additionally, two of our cottages (The Dairy and Cockle Cottage) have solid oak flooring. And for that extra special romantic break, Cockle Cottage also has a wood burner. We are close to some of the most beautiful parts of Cornwall’s coastal path. See seals basking on the picturesque coastline or simply stroll along beautifully sheltered sandy coves. Four miles away, there’s the yachting harbour of St Mawes and the passenger ferry to Falmouth where you can stroll the cobbled streets, eat a proper Cornish pasty or visit the famous National Maritime Museum. Closer to home, there’s the calming haven of St Just In Roseland with its beautiful church and sub-tropical gardens. There’s also easy access to the Cathedral City of Truro, the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and many other beautiful gardens. Further afield, sample the famous fish restaurants of Padstow, Watergate Bay or St Ives. Alternatively soak up the magic of St Michael’s Mount or visit the famous Minack theatre perched high above Porthcurno beach. We are always on hand to advise on what to do and where to eat. We’ll even book you into restaurants if that’s what you want!

Really liked Roundhouse Barn - we stayed in one of the two bed and breakfast rooms within the main house. The building is lovely - in a beautiful/tranquil setting. Hospitality was excellent - breakfast was delicious. Altogether a really lucky find - to be highly recommended.

We arrived late in the afternoon and was greeted very warmly by Barbara, the owner. We were completely unprepared for self catering, so she gave us a jug of milk to accompany the cream tea that awaited us in our cottage. The rooms were very well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean. There was a choice of dvds. cds and a tv with Sky in the sitting room and another tv in the bedroom. The grounds were very well tended and the walks from the Barns were lovely. I would definitely stay here again. I just wish we could have stayed longer this time. Well done to Barbara and her husband.
