Approach via the A30 until coming to the turn off for St Austell and the A391. (There is a slip road leading to a pair of roundabouts above the dual carriageway.) Take the first exit (the A391) following the signs for St Austell and the Eden Project. Follow this road through Lockengates and into Bugle. Go straight on at the traffic lights in Bugle and then on through Stenalees until you come to a roundabout. Take the second exit from the roundabout onto the B3274, signposted Carthew and China Clay Country Park. The Chapel Guest House is approximately ¾ mile along this road on the right hand side. Incredibly easy to find and close to all the attractions. Wonderful couple that manage the B&B & overall a lovely setting. Rooms are of a fantastic standard and very neat. Breakfast is brilliant with the best poached eggs I have ever tasted! Vegetarian options for breakfast is excellent! Overall a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning with friends and family! |

Chris and Wendy only opened the Chapel Guest House earlier this year. They have done a remarkable job in preparing the Old Chapel for guests. It is impossible to speak too highly of this Guest House and the hosts. The room was perfect in every way and the en- suite beautifully appointed. The breakfasts were superb: Wendy was happy to accommodate every wish and Chris played "mine host" very well: always ready to converse but never intrude. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this Guest House. The nearby pub also provided good, basic food at affordable prices too. We're only sorry that we live some 500 miles from Carthew: other wise we would be staying here more often. |

Me and my partner booked this hotel due to it's close location to the Eden project and being close to the main towns in Cornwall. I have to say that it was the best B&B i've ever stayed in. Chris and Wendy are very friendly and welcoming and even though we arrived early we were given coffee and teas after our long journey before being shown to our room. Great location, wonderful clean rooms with good facilities - I can't fault it and I hope to stay there again in the future. |
