Very nice Inn but had difficulty sleeping because of the noise of traffic from the road and, unfortunately, this would probably stop us staying there again. Very friendly hosts. The rooms basic but comfortable. |

This assessment is based on the appalling conditiuon of the twin beds which were grossly inconsistent with the quality implied by the web site presentation. I think that the double beds in other rooms were to an acceptable standard. |

The new owners are in the process of upgrading the facilities in both the accommodation and the pub itself. The rooms were comfy and clean, if a little worn, and the full English breakfast was just the one plate with no offer of cereal, juice or marmalade to accompany the toast. The biggest drawback is the noise from the road on which the Inn is situated although we should have anticipated this once we had known the location. Not recommended for light sleepers! We didn't eat in the restaurant but the menu looked interesting and all the food is cooked on the premises. |
