Used to visit when it was owned by a different family, (an excellent experience). Now owned and is a very good hotel and the food is excellent. Staff are pleasant but appear a bit disorganised / less professional at times. However this was only when the owner was not there as there was a step change on the day/evening he was present.

Easy to get to and decent customer service on arrival - Nice and clean and a very nice room - however whilst the food was good I had to wait a long time for it and I also saw another table getting the wrong sweet.
Oh and the internet acces was painfully slow. Probably suits people who want a relaxing time more than anything else.
Definitely not what I would call a premium hotel though and not worth the extra over and above the cost of other hotels round about. I've had a few nights in and around Tain on business trips and I wouldn't go back here I'm afraid, it's just not worth it.

A very freindly hotel. Staff were mainly young people but are very friendly and very efficient Food is very good and not too bad a price. A quiet hotel.
We preffered this one to the Mansfield Castle Hotel.
