This is excellent accomodation...just a short bus ride from Dublin city centre but walking distance from local shops and bars and a couple of later night venues, the lodge/hotel is spotlessly clean and bright , decorated tastfully in keeping with the age of the building you are made to feel you are staying somewhere special, We were moving on after only one night to a 4 star country hotel but to be fair the Charleville was just as good, Our stay included breakfast which was excellent quality with good service and very friendly staff, accomodation like this is getting harder to find in Dublin now, most hotels don`t even include breakfast in the nights stay , Free internet access is a nice touch as is the morning newspaper, One small improvement might be some newer televisions in the bedrooms. but you don`t come here to watch tele anyway....sure the owner will read this.... all in all a nice place to stay and hope to for longer very soon... |

Very clean and comfortable room, very impressed. Nice breakfast, full Irish.Satff were very welcoming and friendly. Hotel is in good location, away from the city centre but within walking distance which was good, buses run every 10mins from outside the front door though cheaply, 2 euro each way.Great value for money for a short break in Dublin! |

Good location on a direct bus route into the centre and staff were very friendly. The breakfast room was very cold - even with the guests wearing winter woolies to breakfast the heaters weren't turned on. Otherwise very good value. |

Overall a good hotel. Breakfast room doesn't have enough tables/space if the hotel is full. I'd recommend extending their breakfast times until 10 or 11am. |

Was a bit stinky (cigarette smell) in the hallways but the room was OK. Very friendly and we walked into town without any difficulty. The TV was naff; no remote and only one channel watchable! Free internet was great. A lot of character to the place but could get more of an edgeif they brought the spec. up to 21st century. |
