What CAN YOU EXPECT FOR 99 EUROS FOR a family of 4 including breakfast? 'Late rooms' stated the hotel was recently refurbished, but on the sixth floor that meant a very thin coat of paint had been applied to the old woodchip paper and the wooden window board had not been secured or painted. I cannot really say it was a bad room ( the beds were very comfortable); it just felt a bit neglected. The reception staff were very helpful, as the guy on the desk immediately got us a new set when we found the TV did not work (needed to know what was going on at the Olympics...) The food was OK - perhaps it was because it was a Sunday that the croissants were a bit leathery ... I found it annoying to have to pay for car parking at a hotel which is situated on the outskirts of town - and once you were in the car park you could not get out as there was a barrier and a ticket machine. The hotel was OK for our purpose, having taken a ferry crossing from Dover in the afternoon and wanting to hve a break along the way, but I would not want to stay there for 'leisure' or for sight seeing, but that is not what a hotel at a motorway junction is for. So I would stay there again and recommend it to a friend with the above proviso. |

Conveniently located and good for a small family (2 adults, 2 children). Dinner buffet was reasonably priced and good quality. |

Easy to find; just off the motorway but nice and quiet inside. Aircon/heater in the room. Friendly staff, perhaps a little expensive but you tend to get what you pay for at the Holiday Inn. |
