The room we had would have been suitable for a single person without much luggage. This is because the laterooms website would only register one adult. I filled in the comments box to alert the hotel that there two of us, but this was not picked up. The housekeeper/cook was lovely and apologised without us mentioning the size of the room and showed us the other rooms which were wonderful. The signage was not good, you are left thinking you have only come to a conference centre, not a hotel. The housekeeper was really good and a credit to her employers. |

Food excellent, dinner at attched restaurant was just wonderful and breakfast was cooked to order 10/10. Room was clearly recently refurbished and lovely but very bijou - only just room to walk around the bed. Lots of satellite channel choice on tv. |

Top class rooms newly refurbished to a high standard. Quiet and comfortable - more B&B than hotel. Check the restaurant if there is no one in the reception building. |

Booked this hotel for a show in the NEC. While it is out in the countryside we were only a 10 minute drive away. The hotel only has 6 rooms in the original farmhouse. We booked 4 of these rooms. All the rooms were newly refurbished with oak furniture, LCD TVs and modern bathrooms. The rooms varied in size but all were large enough and had an individual character with oak beams and other original features. The onsite restaurant served really good food and has great views of the surrounding countryside. The hotel is part of a complex that provides conference facilities and outdoor pursuits so the hotel is run more like a guesthouse with a guest lounge with large TV and DVD player. This does mean however that there are no night staff. Breakfast s are cooked to order. We booked in here as a group, however I would be more than happy to stay here again for a weekend with family or if flying from Birmingham (perhaps the hotel should look at running transfers to the airport). |
