I'd stayed in the Berkley Court which was this hotel before it was taken over by its current owners. Overall the standards have slipped since then - no room service at all, rooms aren't as nicely furnished and no mini bar/fridge in the room. Bit disappointing overall in a hotel that used to be beautiful |

We were aurprised to discover that we had to pay to leave our car in the hotel car park. There was a bare wire visible in the bathroom, where the extractor fan did not work. The entrance area was befitting for a 4* hotel- but the room was no better than average. |

With fantastic staff, what was once a beautiful hotel promised a lot however this hotel was brought by a property developer recently for demolishion with the aim of turnng it into a housing development. As he couldn't get planning permission he has reopened it as a hotel, and trust me when I say I hope he's a better developer than hotelier otherwise his buildings will fall down! |
