Our experience of 150 years as hoteliers is a guarantee of quality. We have also completely renovated our premises to offer our guests fully ensuite, sound-insulated rooms with TV, direct dial telephone, central heating and hairdryer, and on the ground floor, spacious, comfortable lounges.
We also offer a bar service, buffet breakfast, laundry, hire of function suites and room service.
Thanks to our commitment to the environment, we are also one of the first hotels in Catalunya to have been awarded the Environmental Quality Mark.
The Hotel Peninsular has a range of function suites to suit the needs of any business.
We have private suites suitable for small presentations or meetings, an office for receiving visits or conducting interviews, and two larger rooms for meetings, conventions, dinners or presentations, with a capacity of from 15 to 80 people. All these facilities come complete with telephone, fax and high-speed internet access.

    The hotel says it has parking but the only parking is in an NCP style underground car park at 40 Euros per 24hrs. The 1st room we where alocated had no natural light and was very small but we were moved to a more suitable room at the front of the building. It is very central to the old quater but be prepared the city does not stop till the early hours on a weekend and the street can be very noisy.

    Great location - walked from bus / train station with suitcases. Decent size modern room. Staff helpful and speak English well.

    This hotel was very basic, but the room was a decent size, the hotel was clean and the staff helpful. Definately the best thing about this hotel was the location, walking distance from the old walled town, you couldn't wish for a better spot. The worst thing would have to be the beds. Not very comfortable, but after a few drinks, you don't notice as much! Be aware that althought the hotel says there is parking, this is actually in a nearby NCP and although the hotel offers a discounted rate over night, you have to pay by the hour for the rest of the time. Overall a fine hotel experience, in a wonderful city.
