only four rooms. no lift, rooms 2 or 3 flights up. nice in-room breakfast (fridge). very comfortable mattress. relatively quiet for inner city location. friendly staff but no fully-manned reception. given code to street door & mobile number in case of problems - more like an apartment hotel. rooms nicely decorated and would suit a romantic break in particular. no internet access excpt at nearby starbucks.
small niggles: given croissants in breakfast selection but no butter/preserves; instant coffee sachets rather than caffetiere and grounded coffee; given nice bathroom products including bubble bath but in winter bathroom is rather cold as no heated towel rail or heater/radiator.
this hotel would be even better if it invested in new windows to improve heat insulation and noise reduction (as well as the look of the property).
definitely the nicest place to stay in central Leicester.

Beautifull and stunning rooms, lovely owners and made to feel very welcome. There are road works and this means a long diversion around to find car parking. There is a Cathedral which rings bells every 15mins which made me wish I had brought my ear plugs - as I am a light sleeper. Fantastic breakfast and plenty of eating places nearby hotel for evening meals.

Although I would stay again and reccommend, this is only because now I have found it I could do so again. However, it is very difficult to find and even more difficult to find the car park. I would ask that they simplify their directions somehow, I appreciate that Leicester is not an easy city to navigate as a stranger.
Upon arrival, the receptionist was extremly polite and helpful but again contact by telephone was a bit hit and miss. I understand that this is because the boutique hotel is very small and the telephone not always manned. I would also prefer to have some instructions on using the bath taps! In our room we had difficulty turning the tap off as they were so ultra modern!
The continental breakfast was excellent! Space was excellent and the bed was large and comortable. One further issue, we could hear every step taken by the people/person in the room above us which woke me the next morning.
