Sea Rock Apartment 7

We could not fault the quality of the studio apartment and the views were great. However, when considering a stay here it is worth noting the studio is on the top floor of the block and involved climbing a significant number of stairs; the keys have to be collected and dropped off at the owner's guest house which involved a five min detour by car and,most significanlty, parking was a problem. We parked on a side street at the side of the Searock and was informed by a resident if we left our car there it would be damaged by the time we returned. Free parknig is available betweeen 6pm and 10 am if you can find it!! Parking was costing us £7.20 per day over and above free parking at night.

Guests are informed in advance before their stay by email that keys and welcome pack need to be collected from the Guest House address and are supplied with location map & directions, indeed to get to Searock you need to pass by the Guest House. This allows flexibility for guests so exact times of arrival are not needed. There are 3 public car parks within the locality with free overnight parking and varying rates for hourly or day stays, they provide over 300 spaces in total. There is limited free roadside parking and guests who have used this in the past have not reported any damage to cars. Searock is a 3rd Floor studio apartment in a beautiful Victorian building that has been tastefully restored and refurbished. In order to retain the ornate staircase there is no lift and is not suitable for guests with mobility problems’

The weather was absolutely dreadful so we were pretty much confined to the appt for one day...this was not a problem however as our objective for the weekend was to chill out and we couldnt have done it any better in a very modern, clean, central appartment with sea views. The complimentary bottle of wine helped the relaxation!
