The Pink Pavilion Bijou B and B

12 Madeira Place Kemp Town, Brighton

An inspirational place for aspirational people... it's a new concept, a 'bijou b&b', small yet exquisite, affordable yet stylish, chic and simple. unfussy hospitality and superior style, not perfect, not a five star hotel, but still a great place to stay with a few five star features; oversize faux leather headboards for comfort, flatscreen tv's in standard rooms, fogarty duvets, crisp white linen, memory foam beds, goose feather duvets in luxury rooms and faux fur throws, a no nonsense place located a minutes walk to the pier, pavilion, nightclubs and laines. The luxury suites have victorian roll top slipper baths in the room itself, once the preserve of the 'big boutique hotels', now everyone can enjoy fantastic and affordable touches of luxury. Pod double rooms (compact, spartan no frills rooms with external private bathroom) at very competitive rates.
We understand that we're not a boutique hotel in every sense of the word but we don't have a boutique hotel price either. We're bijou through and through, a place where design is simple and stylish.
Please note that when you book on laterooms for a 'standard or pod double AMD', this means that you will be allocated either a standard double or compact budget pod double depending on availability. The pod doubles are a much more compact room, with bathroom external to the room and no tv or hospitality tray. Standard doubles have a tv and dvd player and en-suite facilities with an open plan shower in the room itself. Luxury double suites have a roll top bath in the room and en-suite facilities as well as tv, dvd player.

Hotel looks incredible on pictures, even on hotel's own website. When we entered the room, I could not believe its size, and this was the standard room, not the cheapest choice. This has to be the smallest room I ever stayed in, but they even managed to fit in an en-suite (which is a bonus). Shower was right in the middle of the room, not in the en-suite, which I found odd, but was a nice, modern shower. Negatives: room too small and not clean. We found hair on the sink and on top of bed and lots of dust on bedside tables and TV unit, which also had a compartment for tea/coffee, bathroom stuff and towels. We didn't have a single drink from that room. Shame, cause if clean, it wouldn't have been that bad. Positives: location is great, close to the main shops, amenities, u can walk anywhere from here.

Very interesting accommodation, well placed, lively area, lots of stairs and some rooms have bathrooms on different landings. We upgraded and had a bath in the bedroom! and a toilet in a cupboard. We were greeted promptly and given local guidance, 5 mins walk from main shops and local area has lots of charity shops and restaurants which were good value. Cafe Bella offers 10% discount to Pink Pavillion customers.

This guest house was in a great location - only about 2 minutes walk to the beach and the peir, and only about 5 minute walk to the Royal Pavillion and the Laines. Our room had a nice shower in the room, with an ensuite toilet, so definately best for couples. Nice TV with choice of DVDs. Good to have a nice sellection of toiletries, tea and coffee facilities hair drier etc. It has clearly recently been refurbished with nice modern bed, bathroom, blinds, lamps, plush cushions etc.. However it has not been fitted to the highest standards - a few gaps arround the edges of skirting boards, holes in the plaster etc.. Overall we thought it was a great spot for a weekend break.

Lovely little guesthouse -it is not a B&B as breakfast isn't included - though they have an agreement with a cafe down the road that does a marvellous breakfast.
Very friendly staff there to welcome me, though not there much else of the time.
This isn't a top class hotel if you're looking for 5* but my room was large spacious and clean with a flat screen TV and all very comfy and modernly decorated with a super comfy bed. I was given my own key for the door and it felt like a home away from home.
It's in a bustling part of central brighton with lots of lovely cafes and bars around (so not that quiet!)
I had a lovely stay there and would recommend it to anyone.
