A lovely bright large room nicely furnished. Nice full bathroom all in all it was immaculate and we would definately stay here again.

A pleasant recently refurbished hotel in a good position and with a large car park. The room was very nicely decorated and had a large bathroom which is rare for a hotel of this class. Breakfast was good and the bar prices reasonable. However the receptionist/manager did not agree that the room charge confirmed by laterooms was £65 arguing that the normal price was £85 and that the laterooms price should have been £75. We paid £70 in the end but felt a little digruntled as there is obviously not a good connection between laterooms.com and the hotel concerning the charges. We e-mailed the Smithfield on returning home and re-confirmed that they had overcharged ,requesting a £5 refund. At the time of writing this review they have not replied. For that reason alone we won't be going again !
