Beckmead House

5 Park Avenue, Windermere

Beckmead House is ideally situated just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Windermere & just 10 minutes walk from Lake Windermere. We are a family run guest house with quality accommadation, and a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
We have single, double and twin-bedded rooms, they are en-suite or with private showers, all are centrally heated, tastefully decorated and have colour t.v, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers and a range of toiletries.
Breakfast at Beckmead is something special. There is a choice of fuit juices, various cereals,our freshly prepared yogurt or fresh fruit, followed by a traditional English breakfast of bacon, egg, local sausage, tomato, mushrooms etc. we also cater for vegetarians and special diets.
For the comfort and safety of all our guests Beckmead House is non smoking.

Directions to Beckmead House

Leave the M6 junction 36 & folow the signs for Windermere-A591. On arriving in Windermere turn left off the main road by the Tourist Information centre. Go throught the Village, over the pelican crossing take the 2nd Left into Ellerthwaite Road, continue over the crossroads and Beckmead House is the 3rd on the Left.

Guest house was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly. Plenty of spaces to park around the roads and not far to walk to Bowness (15mins). Would definately return.

We both enjoyed our visit to Beckmead House. The staff were both courteous and friendly and the breakfast was exceptional.

stayed here for 3 nights in July 2008 great guest house. Dorothy the owner does a wonderful English breakfast and keeps the place spotless. ideal location for the lakes and local bars and restaurants in Windermere. Have a look at the guest book it makes interesting reading people from all over the world have stayed.
