Used this hotel for a business stopover instead of normal bland chain hotels. |

We stayed here as a 1 night getaway (2 young children stayed at home with grandparents) and found the pub to be very cosy with roaring log fires very good food (generous portions and good price), staff were attentive and pleasant. Accomodation is in the annexe of the inn and is clean and recently refurbed to a good standard for the price, although lacks a little of the personal touch which would benefit it. I would deinitely stay again. Note to owners, doors to the bedrooms close very noisily particularly at midnight and would benefit some noise dampers on them. Dont spoil a fanatastic breakfast by serving up cheap catering brown sauce. |

The staff were very accomodating in light of our early arrival, and the inevitable menu change requests at breakfast that a party of six threw at them. Some of us were lucky to be allocated a newly refurbished room, and others not so lucky, but hopefully they will all be refurbished soon. |
