i had booked a no smoking room but on arrival was given a smooking room. i requested a change of room at reception but was told the hotel was full so there were no non-smoking rooms available. about ten mins later the phone went and it was reception saying there was another room available, great i thought then she continued by saying it was also a smoking room, so i obviously declined getting moved from a smoking room to a smoking room when the only reason i wanted to change was because i was in a smoking room.

Room was quite small and for the Hilton basic. The en-suite was tiny and difficult to move in. Step on the shower was too high. I stubbed my toe! Toilet seat was loose.
Bed was comfortable. Television good and good range of programmes.
Restaurant was excellent for breakfast. Service was good.

a little disappointing as first went to reception in hilton building only to be sent accross the road to dusty, shabby, in need of decoration and updating club building. Reception however very friendly and staff not at fault. would recommend that you review this hotel as it is a major disappointment compared to the hilton building accross the road.

I have already written a letter of complaint to the hotel as our room was dirty, the shower didn't work properly, bathroom sink was blocked and we'd been allocated a smoking room without being asked whether or not we'd accept that at the booking stage. The room looked like it had been locked up for years and only opened up for us. We were in the basement with no outlook. The description of the Hilton Grosvenor Club Building on the LateRooms website is a far cry from the real life experience.

Staff pleasant. Currently under refurbishment in the restaurant, but alternative dining provided at the Hilton across the road. Room was a good size. Quick service at breakfast - no waiting to be seated - drinks served immediately.
