I found it to be noisy - coming from road traffic and other rooms/corridor - otherwise easy access to Newcastle city centre. |

Room was old-fashioned & needed a good update. Shower tiles filled with mould; toilet seat was broken; milk mini-cartons in the room were one month over the "use by" date, and had curdled; eccentric design of the building rendered it impossible for people with disabilities to stay here. Service was good, breakfast was excellent, and staff were helpful and obliging however. I thought it was good value for £40. |

Very disappointing. Very dusty room, grubby head board and sheets. Came back from running Great North Run to NO HOT WATER for a bath, no staff in attendance and the most uncomfortable beds ever, and still no hot water the next morning. Only ever one member of staff on duty in the morning , helpful but over worked. On a positive note the breakfast was good. |

Quirkily designed hotel with a nautical theme. Stayed here prior to Great North Run. Perfect for this. Hotel is in a quiet area: centre is easy to get to by bus. Staff friendly and helpful. Will certainly stay here next year. |
