Probably the best B+B I've stayed in. Room a little small, but perfectly adequate: clean and very comfortable. Enough breakfast to feed an army, and excellent quality. Staff helpful and friendly. We were delayed and arrived well past midnight, but there was someone waiting to welcome us. Pub looked nice, although we were too late to use it. Will stay there again when we return to the area in the summer. |

My room was extremely small and right next to the main road so quite noisy. Very difficult to do any work in the confined space. Other rooms may be far nicer so this may be biased. The pub adjoining the hotel is a typical locals pub so you either like that sort of thing or not. Didn't try the evening meal but breakfast was very good. Newport itself is very pleasant. |

The only drawback to my stay at at the Newport Arms Hotel was the size of the bedroom (room 7) as there was hardly any room to get either side of the single bed. I would stay again but I would book a double room. The breakfast was very impressive but I think it could be improved by offering cereals / yoghurt / fruit as alternative to a full Enlish. |
