The Brackenborough Hotel

Very comfortable room. Warm reception. Very accommodating. Rang to say we were arriving late. i.e. 10.15pm. They promptly offered to make us some food on our arrival. had a fab Thai curry. Will definately stay again.

Well what a suprise a smart little boutique hotel near Fotherby, Louth Lincs. Stayed here one night as we were visting relatives in Fotherby (I lived there many years ago). The hotel;s on Cordeaux Corner, within walking distance of the village so very convenient for us. (No real need to visit village as there is not much there...no pub etc). Louth is four minute drive away, and for a small rural town has a resonable selection and variety of restaurants (Thai,Chinese,Italian,Turkish, British and pubs/bistros).
The rooms were quite stylish, a sort of modern rural , and well appointed with tea cofffe making facilities, mineral water, LCD TV trouser press and ironing board, though they were not air-conditioned and the view from ours was somewaht limited. We only had breakfast there which was good..The orange juice was freshly squeezed (mine had a pip in it), and there was a selection of specials that could be ordered as well as. The main restaurant appeared very stylish although we did not use it - and busy on a Saturday.
The staff were helpful on reception sorting my online flight check in for me. All in all a good hotel for the grade.

Generally, I only ever bother to review hotels if I feel I need to warn people away from them. In this instance I'm pleased to say the complete opposite is true. This is a great hotel. Stay there. I spend a lot of time in hotels around the World and it's very refreshing to stay somewhere where I come away without a single negative thought. Excellent staff, excellent food, excellent cleanliness,/maintenance, superb value for money. Well done all at the Brackenborough. I will be back.
