This is a typical Spanish hotel, while overall the hotel was of a reasonable standard, there were one or two points that let it down, and it would certainly not be a 4 star establishment in the UK. One unusual thing for a Spanish hotel was that they provided a kettle in the room, HOWEVER, there was a charge of 2 euros each for a standard sachet of tea, coffee, etc. All of the sachets had been well handled and were very dog eared, clearly they had been there a long time and I assume that they would be well past their best. The parking around the hotel is all on meters, and even at the time we were there, November, there were few empty bays. That said, if you manage to get a space, it only costs 5 euros to park for the full 24 hours, the same as the hotels underground car park, although in the case of the latter, spaces would be at a premium during busy periods.

This hotel has both good and bad points...
    Good:
Hotel was close to Gibraltar border, easy walking distance, large rooms and open hotel spaces to use.
It was a business hotel, so on weekends was very very quiet, meaning you could have the run of the place with only a sprinkling of guests there to share it with.
It was extremely cheap and of substantially better quality when compared against the hotels inside Gibraltar.
    Poor:
Lunch and Dinner Food - extremely poor. Possibly because the main chef doesn't work weekends, but be very wary about eating here over a weekend. The luncheon food was late, cold and still in microwave cardboard boxes. When we complained, we received a fairly rude reaction in spanish which I am glad I was unable to translate.
As there is no supermarket close by, so if you are travelling with kids then bring some emergency rations just to keep them going. Breakfast is okay, but there are signs up everywhere warning you will be charged if you remove food from the restaurant suggest previous travellors must also have experienced the poor food, so resorted to pilfering supplies from breakfast.
Family friendly - there is nothing to keep children entertained, and it took several hours and several calls, and eventually a visit to the manager to get a cot and bed delivered to our room. And then they came without sheets. Make sure you bring entertainment and loads of toys for the kids, there's nothing for them to do here.

Nothing wrong with hotel at all. Parking in the area a nightmare, and with a Sea Angling Conference/Competition being held locally all the anglers stayed here, lugging all their equipment around - but that's what a hotels for. Nice and clean.

The hotel was located just 10 minute walk from Gibraltar borders on Spanish side. The hotel itself was pretty modern, so no objection from this point of view. Minor problem could be lack of character but nothing really bad. Food was excellent as well as reception service.

bon accueil, chambre très propre, hall d'accueil un petit peu moins (papier de bonbons qui traînent par terre), petit déjeuner très complet et varié, rapport qualité/prix très concurrentiel (peut-être compte tenu de la période de l'année?)
