the hotel info says 50 trains a day into Venice, we went twice , and both times waited more than an hour, In the town of Mogliano everything seems to close at 8pm , severely restricting chioce for eating out . On the plus side , everything is much cheaper and quieter than in Venice |

The appeal of this hotel was that it was located close to Venice and reachable by train. There was a train strike on Friday and no one at the hotel ever mentioned this fact. I had to take a 30 euro taxi ride on Friday to make a train at Mestre. The hotel desk told me that the trip would be 10 euros. The directions on the website to the hotel from the train station don't work. Depending on who is working the front desk the service is great to bad. My wife had her jewelry stolen in the hotel. Take precautions. Room pics don't look like the room. |

I booked two rooms. My room was quite good and everything worked well and was clean and very nice. The other room had a burned out light, the AC was not very good at all and the shower had some problems. The price was pretty good except that we ate breakfast without realizing it was not included. We got charged €10 extra each day for each room for what was basically a pot of generic yogurt, some toast and juice/coffee (continental breakfast). If we knew it would have cost that much we would have eaten at the bakery across the street. There are a couple restaurants nearby and some other small stores. The train station to Venice is very close as well. Overall I would recommend it and stay there again. |
