A Georgian Residence

This was more like a stay in a genteel house party rather than a B&B which was what we loved about it.
Lovely room \ suite with huge bed, and traditional furnishings, very peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Minutes from princes street and main attractions.
Breakfast is served in an elegant dining room on a huge mahogany table with proper china.!
If youre looking for an atmospheric stay rather than an up to the minute modern facilities, this is for you. We would definitely go back.

Lovely building and well run in a great bit of town. The rooms were all good but two of them are really superb so get in to one of these if you can.

Room was huge but decor needed updating. Very friendly service. Breakfast was epic - had nothing to eat for the rest of the day. Location perfect - quiet but within easy walikng distance of centre.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Georgian Residence. Our hosts, Florence and Jim looked after us very well. We certainly got fit climbing the 74 stairs to our room on the top floor - but it was all worth it for the view over Edinburgh. We also met some other very interesting guests including a Russian woman, a New Zealand couple and their baby, and two American women - all staying at the Residence.
The only bad point was that Laterooms had quoted a price of 170 pounds when in fact the charge was 180 pounds for the two nights that we stayed.
