Directions to Hyde Park Suites
Getting to us from Heathrow Airport Take the Heathrow Express train to Paddington station. From Paddington you can take the Circle or District lines of the Underground to Bayswater station (westbound) or a taxi (it is a short 5 minute ride). (see map) Heathrow Express departs every 15 minutes. Average journey time is 15 minutes (allow eight more minutes to and from Terminal 4). Prices vary from £15.50 to £17.50 for a single fare. For times of operation go to www.heathrowexpress.com For alternate means of transportation from Heathrow Airport click here. Take the Heathrow Connect train to Paddington station which is slightly slower than the Heathrow Express and stops a few times on the way. The average journey time is 25 minutes. The ticket price is £6.90 for a single fare. For more information go to: www.heathrowconnect.com Take the Piccadilly line of the Underground from any terminal to Earl’s Court station. Then switch to the District line to Bayswater station. ATTENTION: The District line splits off at Earl’s Court to a number of destinations. The ONLY train which takes you to Bayswater station is the one to Edgware Road. Average journey time is about 1 hour. A single fare is £4.00. NOTE: This means of transportation is NOT recommended while on tight schedule (e.g. running late for a departing flight) as the Piccadilly line is often overcrowded and tends to be delayed or temporarily suspended when you least expect it. For current updates and other Underground information go to: www.tfl.gov.uk Take a taxi all the way. A reasonable daytime fare varies from £35-45 per ride. Be careful, however, as some taxi drivers tend to change the price especially when traveling late at night. Ask the driver how much the fare is going to be before you get in. Average journey time is from 45 minutes up to 1.5 hours depending on traffic conditions. Getting to us from Stansted Airport Take the Stansted Express train which takes you directly to Liverpool Street station. From Liverpool Street take the Underground (Central Line) going west. Get off at Queensway station . We are a 2-minute walk away from the station. (see map) Average journey time is 1 hour and 10 minutes. For helpful hints and alternate means of transportation from Stansted Airport click here. Stansted Express hint: If flying into and out of Stansted Airport with Ryanair it is cheaper to get your Stansted Express tickets at Ryanair website (www.ryanair.com) Alternate transportation: Take the easyBus van or coach from the terminal to Baker Street station in Central London. From Baker Street take the Circle Line towards Edgware Road and get off at Bayswater station. The easyBus company operates vans and coaches to and from Central London to both Stansted and Luton Airports. When purchased well in advance on the internet a single fare could be as cheap as £2 up to £8 for a walk-up fare. Seats are limited. Average journey time from Stansted Airport to Bayswater station is 1 hour and 50 minutes. Getting to us from Gatwick Airport Take the Gatwick express train to Victoria station. From Victoria take the 148 bus from Victoria, and get off at Bayswater Road (InvernessTerrace stop). (see map) Getting to us by taxi We can also arrange a taxi to wait for you and pick you up from the airport. From Heathrow the rate is £47 for a 4 passenger car. From Gatwick, Stansted and Luton £80 for a 4 seater car. Getting to us by bus The following bus routes all have stations in the Hyde Park Suites area: 12, 94, 148, 207 ( Bayswater road ) 15, 23, 27, 36 ( Paddington Stations )

The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is very central. The room was clean, large and well designed. However there was no lift and I had to climb six or seven flights of stairs to get to my room. If I had luggage I would have found getting to my room impossible. It should be clear at the time of booking that there are no lifts and several floors. |

Room/Apartment was nice, small but adequate. Not good for families but they do have larger rooms available. Is close to the Queensway station so 4 stops from Oxford Circus was fine for me. Bayswater station is equally as close so 1 stop from Paddington was goo too. |

was allocated a basement appt with a very steep spital metal staircase accessed from the street. The room was long and narrow and had a very bad musty smell. When I asked to be changed they suggested the cleaning staff should just spray "something" in the room, eventually the said they had a cancellation and gave us a room in another building which was more expensive but wouldn't charge the difference. The room was up 8 flights of stairs, lift out of order and the room was very small, well enough equipped, but the only place to sit was the bed. The intercom to the front door was not working either and when friends called for us they had to phone and then wait whilst we made the long trek down stairs, certainally not suitable for the elderly or people with young kids and prams. We have a faimily wedding next year in London and would not consider this accommodation as there will be kids and elderly people in our group |
