We stayed here with two friends for two nights and found the situation and the accommodation extremely good; the only other comment on the rooms was that the sound insulation could be a little better as we could hear the extraction fans working in at least two other rooms.Whilst we were there, there were quite large functions on both nights, but the management had had the foresight to give us rooms as far from these as possible and we were not aware of any noise from them at all.The staff without exception were very attentive and helpful and even offered us advice on where to eat should we not wish to eat in their own restaurant. In all an excellent break.

On balance, a very enjoyable and comfortable 2-night stay. Slight problems with inexperienced bar staff very quickly and effectively put right by management - much appreciated. Check out was much better than check in - again down to an inexperienced receptionist on duty when we arrived - though all staff were friendly and polite. The hotel is well situated and attractively presented inside and out. The room was very warm, clean and comfortable and the view from our room over The Wrekin excellent. Breakfast was freshly cooked both mornings of our stay and service at breakfast was first class. I would recommend a stay in this hotel to others and will return for another visit next year. Very good value for money.

Staff were excellent, room let down by tiny TV with only analogue channels. Carpet on bathroom floor a strange choice too. However, heartily recommend. Excellent value for money

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Service in at dinner was good but a lot of the time there were no staff around but the food was really good, unfortunately I missed breakfast as I was running late. The room was lovely, the only thing was the TV is quite small and the signal wasn't brilliant, this is the only fault I could find. It is in a beautiful location with lovely people running the hotel, thank you to the staff!
