Make sure you take the correct courtesy coach from the airport ! We ended up at Travelodge South and had to return to the airport to get the correct courtesy coach to Travelodge North.

This is an old-style American motel (built 1958) which is showing its age a little. However the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and the beds comfortable. There is an IHOP (International House of Pancakes) attached to the hotel. At $49 a night it was very good value for an airport hotel. Caution: If you are a light sleeper, SFO Airport operates 24/7 so there is regular aircraft noise all night and the sound insulation is not great. Also the location is right beside US Highway 101, also very busy with traffic noise 24/7.
