Located on San Francisco's famous Lombard Street - home to the Golden Gate Bridge and "Crookedest Street" - The Francisco Bay Inn has provided spacious, comfortable accommodation for thousands of travelers each year. From the Golden Gate Bridge: Take the Lombard Street exit. Follow Lombard for less than half a mile and you will see our sign on the right hand side. We are located at 1501 Lombard Street /at the corner of Lombard and Franklin. From the Bay Bridge: Take the 101 North / Mission Street exit. Make an immediate right at the end of the off-ramp onto Mission Street. Veer left onto Van Ness Avenue on the next block. Follow Van Ness for approximately 1.5 miles and make a left on Jackson Street. Make an immediate right on Franklin Street. Follow Franklin Street for several blocks and you will see the Francisco Bay Inn sign on your left hand side - pull into our driveway before crossing the Lombard Street Intersection - We are located at 1501 Lombard Street. From the Peninsula: Take the 101 North / Mission Street exit. Make an immediate right at the end of the off-ramp onto Mission Street. Veer left onto Van Ness Avenue on the next block. Follow Van Ness for approximately 1.5 miles and make a left on Jackson Street. Make an immediate right on Franklin Street.     hotel is a standard american motel type with all the regular facilities, though no eatery. The "breakfast" amounts to a cup of coffee, glass of o.j. & a bun or two, if you get up in time, which you collect from the tiny reception area & take back to your room. These are reasonable standard, clean & are equipped with coffee machine & fridge. 10 minutes walk to Fishermans Wharf. Seemed like reasonable value for the area, but not luxury.

    The new US imigration rules need you to have a room organised before you depart UK. This hotel matched the web page description. If you want to be near the water its fine but it is a taxi ride to Union Square. It says total spend $94 but my card was charged $107.
