We booked this hotel purely for it's vacinity to our destination ... we struck gold! Although the owner was away at the time, his staff made us very welcome and ensured we had everything we needed. The room was fantastic with great views and superbly equipped ... the shower/steamer is awesome! Breakfast cannot be faulted. Top tip - book direct as we found it would have been £14 a night cheaper. |

Orchard Manor is a very good B&B, though expensive when comparing it to others of the same standard in the area. The customer service was excellant, very very friendly and we were upgraded to one of the apartment suites which was fitted out to a very high standard and the phrase 'you could eat your dinner off the floor' is certainly true in this case, everything was very very clean, probably one of the cleanest B&B's we have stayed in. The power shower was wonderful ,but it would have been good to have soap and maybe shampoo available in the shower - we had to take the liquid soap holder from the wash hand basin to use whilst using the shower. The breakfast was a bit disapointing, the bacon and sausages were very overcooked. But I was delighted that Gillian who was running the B&B, as Nigel the owner was away, brought me in semi-skimmed milk when I said I was on a diet - what a very kind thought. Although it was expensive, as we were upgraded I consider it to be good value and would certainly have no hesitation in recomending it to others - thank you. |
