A very pleasant hotel - the staff were very helpful. The room I had was adequate in size, reasonably clean and the decoration ok. The bathroom was a little tired but clean and functional. The location is a little strange - the hotel has the appearance of a country manor yet is on the edge of a housing estate. This does not seem to cause any problems however as the houses are not so close that noise is a problem and the hotel has extensive car park space. The hotel garden is a lovely spot. Would stay again. |

Although I had a confirmation from Late Rooms, the hotel did not have my booking. The bedroom was far too small to rate as a double room. The door to the bathroom is see-through. Wi-fi access was not free. There was a debs ball the first night we stayed - there was no lounge for guests to escape to. There was only one waitress on at breakfast - the service was very slow and tables were not being cleared - by the time we got to breakfast the room looked like a bomb-site. Supervisor (who eventually showed up) should have organized kitchen staff to clear tables. The whole set-up made Fawlty Towers look like a hotel! Very poor value for money - as I find most UK hotels are. |

From the outside the hotel looks a bit tired but the inside is ok and the room was very comfortable and quiet. The food was ok. |

A super small and friendly hotel if you don't mind being out of the city centre. |
