HOTEL TORREQUEBRADA

Nice hotel that was very quiet due to the time of year. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel room very nice.
The only minor complaint, which we were aware of before making the booking (from other reviews) was that the walls are quite thin and that you can hear noise from other rooms fairly easily.

This is not a 5star hotel as advertised. The only 5star touches are bubbly at breakfast if you want it and a snazzy casino on the premises. However it does have nice gardens with lots of loungers, 3 pools all kept very clean and a lovely airy restaurant leading out onto a seaview terrace if you want to eat outside. Foodwise the buffet breakfast was good and much better than the buffet evening meal, but with a bus stop right outside you can go in either direction to find eating places. This is a good hotel to use as a v. comfortable B&B, 25 euros or so away by taxi from Malaga airport and within easy reach by bus of other areas of the Costa del Sol. A room near the top of either tower gives good views & if you're a smoker you get the very top floor.

On arriving late we were pleasantly suprised by being upgraded to an executive suite from a junior suite. This along with all the facilities of the hotel made our short break most enjoyable, and we are looking forward to taking a longer break in the future.

We were very disappointed with this hotel as it was advertised as 5 star and certainly was not! Probably a 2/3 at most. No childrens swimming pool for our 7 year old daughter and the kids club was poor with only Spanish spoken which she did not understand. Staff not very helpful overall and food poor.
Well over-due a refurbishment and far out of main resort. Would not recommend.
