A perfect escape from the city. The setting and gardens were amazing. The staff really friendly and keen to chat and look after you. We had dinner at the hall the first night and had a fun evening exchanging experiences of Northumberland with other guests. The second evening (saturday) we ate at the pub nearby-worth booking it ahead of time as there was no room at the restaurant. |

The weather at our arrival was quite grim. We were immediatewly made to feel welcome guests. The fact that tea and coffee were served without asking made us feel quite at home and lifted the weather gloom. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and were particularly complimentary about the quite excellent food. We will undoubtedly stay again. |

After a grinding drive from the western isles of Scotland, it was an absolute treat to arrive at the Sanderson's home. |
