The Bull Hotel is a 17th century coaching inn, situated in the heart of the historic market town of Sedbergh. A warm, friendly relaxed atmosphere from staff as well as regulars makes the Bull the perfect retreat. Situated on Sedbergh Main Street, approximately 5 miles from the M6, junction 37, with beautiful views out towards the Howgills we are ideally located at the gate way of Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Lake District.You can sample our local Real Ales and fresh traditional food served in one of the cosy bars or in our newly opened Restaurant. All 14 en-suite bedrooms have remote control colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. A quiet sitting room is also available to residents where you can borrow a book, play a board game or just relax with a magazine.Both the Restaurant and Bar are extremely popular with locals and residents alike and are well known for providing excellent food using fresh local produce and offering a splendid selection of real ales, all hand poured. Both venues provide a very relaxed and intimate atmosphere.

The hotel I thought was quite expensive for the room we stayed in and th bathroom was not very nice it was clean but very old and in need of some repair work, the room was spacious though, the resturaunt was the best part of the hotel although quite and small the food was lovely.

Typical pub accomodation, absolutely fine. Needs refurbishment, but value for money.

As there is no night porter we asked the girl at reception how we could get in later on when no one wuld be on duty.She said there was a code to get in with and that it was in the hotel information booklet in our room.When we retuned at 130 am the code would not work.Despite ringing a number for the hotel we could only get an answer machine.We had a funeral to go to the next day and we were cold.The next morning the young man was quick to apologise for us having the wrong code and offered not to charge us.We have not been contacted by the proprietor to offer any apology or compensation.From speaking to locals this is not the first time this has happened.
