Great location - in the middle of nowhere . You would never expect to see this inn with its facilities, tucked away off of the road. |

The room was decorated very well with nice fixtures and fittings, i would say the bathroom could have done with a bit of a Spring Clean, just because of the effects of limescale! But the room was brilliant value for money, I definitely recommend eating at the hotel as I had the best steak I have ever eaten! The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere so when you are looking for it, dont worry when you drive off onto an old track! (i do recommend taking a 4x4 although i managed it in a Celica!) |

A lovely location, isolated where you really feel you are in the forest and excellent service, but the room we stayed in was pokey, it was an eaves room so very restricted head room and being an old pub there were large beams which also restricted movement in the bedroom. The bathroom was lovely with a large bath and nicely decorated. Breakfast was good, and portion sizes for evening meal were good, but the quality of food could have been better. Meat lacked flavour and carrots appeared to have been microwaved. |

The room in itself was VERY nice, if a little dark, but the bathroom, although nicely done, had one major fault......the shower tiles, floor and base of shower door had black mould! This was easily removed if someone had taken the trouble to clean the shower cubicle when they were cleaning the room. The food was pretty good apart from the night i told the waitress the broccoli was overcooked and plain boiled potatoes were bland.......she returned saying there should have been a sauce but none had been made!!!! So why was it on the menu !?!?! Nothing but an apology was offered.........would i go again??? Hmmmm.......not sure!!! |
