St Andrews Golf Hotel

This hotel is very well situated in St Andrews -- near the Old Course, Golf Museum, etc. The room was quite large with a high ceiling, but the rug showed signs of wear. The staff was helpful and breakfast was excellent.

You might like to note that the Hotel has recently been taken over by Malmaison Hotels, and will be closed for refurbishment for 10 months from sometime next month.
They wil subsequently be known as "Hotel Du Vin".

hotel good. Location ideal. breakfast good selection and quality. Only negative was that we were told at time of booking that both superior rooms booked by us were to have sea views. On arrival fouund that one room had view of car park and flat roof, and there was nothing they could do about it. I would suggest that when booking it would be wise to get written confirmation of any special conditions.

The Hotel was easy to find. The view from our room overlooked the sea, wonderful. The room was very clean and also very spacious. Staff are very courteous, pleasant and friendly. If you need to know anything about the area or golf ask for Michael. He's a character. When my eggs benedict arrived at breakfast, I really wanted to take a photograph of it. Wow what presentation and it was delicious. St Andrew's is a lovely place to stay, whether you like golf or not.
