Ca' Centopietre

Dorsoduro 1198, Venice

Centopietre because those are the steps in order to catch up with many places, here at Dorsoduro. The Academy of Venice, the foundations that towards skillful door to the rafts opposite the Giudecca Island and where the students and pedestrian pass the summery hours sun bathing in this sunny and fresh Dorsoduro. Exiting from the Inn I head for Campo Saint Barnaba and a little more further I find Campo Saint Margherita.
I can arrive in Saint Mark in 10 minutes, walking towards the Academy and Saint Stefano.
Dorsoduro is magnificent, and my stay in the quiet and pacefull of Centopietre Inn has been an optimal choice. I have been able to live in an luminous Venetian house and collection, just a few minutes from Saint Marks and Rialto, than it allows you to come down to the Venetian living without being dipped in the chaos of tourists who populated the small alliways.
The Inn is a familiar, kind and discreet atmosphere, and is my suggestion if you desire a place to start living as a Venetian in Venice. Here you have the perception of the time in Venice. Dorsoduro is a unique place indeed. If you really love the city I suggest Centopietre Inn

Map & Directions for Ca' Centopietre

Directions to Ca' Centopietre

By car The property is easily reachable from Piazzale Roma, where guests can leave their cars. From Piazzale Roma, the structure is 20 minutes by vaporetto line 51, 61, stop Zattere or line 1, stop Accademia. By train From Santa Lucia train station you have to take the ACTV public water-buses lines 1 or 2, direction Lido, (around 30 minutes, €6,00 per person), through the Gran Canal, and get out at Accademia, or take the ACTV line 61, direction Lido, through the Giudecca Canal (around 25 minutes, €6 per person) and get out at Zattere. We suggest: as you get off the public ferry (line 1 or 2) at the Accademia boat stop, face the Accademia museum. Go right around the building and then take the first right on Calle Corfù and then Calle Contarini. At the end turn left and cross the first bridge in Calle della Toletta. On the first street on the right, you will find Campiello Centopietre. By airplane From Marco Polo airport you have to take the bus to Piazzale Roma Bus terminal (around 20 minutes) and from there you have to catch the ACTV public water-bus (vaporetto) lines 1 or 2, direction Lido, through the Gran Canal (around 30 minutes) and get out at Accademia, or ACTV line 51, direction Lido, through the Giudecca Canal (around 20 minutes, €6per person) and get out at Zattere. There is also a shuttle boat service called Alilaguna that from the airport takes directly to Zattere (in front at the Gesuiti church. It takes 1 hour and 25 minutes and costs €12,00 per person. It is a long trip, but it saves you from going up and down from busses and water-busses with your luggage (especially if you have a lot of pieces).

This is a lovely bed and breakfast away from the most touristy parts of Venice but within easy walking distance of everything. We got a little bit lost finding it at first of course, but I liked the fact that it was off the main streets. The directions are good, you just have to hunt down the plaque with the hotel name on. The room was large, clean, nicely decorated and the bathroom was big and clean. Carlo was a very welcoming and helpful host. The breakfast room was stunning. Breakfast itself was plentiful, and Carlo always kept everything topped up. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this adorable b&b and stay here again next time.
