Very friendly and welcoming, quality food and excellent location. Even though we only stayed for one night we were very happy and found it great value. The breakfast was very good indeed! |

Hotel room very small and shabby. furniture poor and mismatched. En suite was more of a cupboard, did not feel clean, mould on wall by toilet. Could not open en suite door properly as room so small it banged on the bed ! Room lit by hall lighting all night as bedroom door too small for frame. Woulnot have stayed more than one night as didnot want to use shower. However staff friendly, communal areas clean and breakfast was great. |

The owners of this hotel are both very welcoming and friendly, and nothing seems to be too much trouble, making you feel very welcome. Breakfast is an experience I have never seen rivaled anywhere else. The food is excellent (and since I returned home now legendary with my friends). Everything is freshly cooked (including the smoked haddock, kippers and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon!) I have never been offered such an excellent choice. The staff made sure we were well looked after with plenty of tea & coffee and toast. We were very dissapointed with the town itself but this hotel came up trumps and improved our stay greatly. |

Hotel very clean with an excellent breakfast. We received a warm welcome and found Brian & Wendy to be lovely people. Room 1 was a cramped double room with sink & vanity unit. TV etc. The en suite (room only for shower tray & wc) was abysmal and this was by far the worst room we have encountered and extremely dissapointing. The hostess tray was well stocked. bedding/towells clean & white and soap shower gel. Pehaps we were just unfortunate to be given this particular room. A great pity! |

The host was well informed of our booking and found them welcoming. Facilities were clean but shower needs periodic descaling. |
