Comfort was the order of the day. Flat screen TV, tea making facilities, hairdryer and fridge for that essential bottle of Champagne to chill. Original old furniture and windows added to the charm. Room was very warm considering the frost outside.

We only had a brief stay but enjoyed every minute of it. The room was unique as interesting, but in no way antiquated. The private bathroom was very clean and modern as were the amenities in the room itself. The beds were very comfortable and we had a fantastic nights sleep. The owner/operator is very friendly and accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The following day’s breakfast was delightful and was complemented by a range of homemade jam's and preserve. Would thoroughly recommend Spire Cottage to anyone visiting this part of the world.

We had an excellent stay at Spire Cottage. The location was ideal for a stroll into town along the canal and it was also a stones throw from the local pub - The Spotted Cow. Our room was lovely - just as described on the site. The service was great - and the breakfast was top notch - especially the home made jams.
I would recommend Spire Cottage as an ideal spot for a romantic getaway or a place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Just fantastic!
