I would stay at the hotel again - but not during a holiday period. It appears that "family friendly" means "allow all children to run riot". It was impossible to use the lifts without some little apparent orphan accompanying you and selecting every floor just for kicks. The service was grim - waited 20 minutes at the coffee bar - the service in the restaurant was friendly, but technically poor. Breakfast good for a buffet. If you want to use the Broadband in your room make sure you take a ethernet cable - no wireless. Health club nice, clean and well supervised. Underground carpark dark & dingy, but gratefully secure. My biggest cocern was how none of the staff seemed willing to resolve complaints. It is a pity there is no menu choice for teenagers - its either the "chicken nugget & chips" kids menu or the €35 set menu in the evening. I can only assume that the combination of a fully booked hotel and an unusually high proportion of of misbehaved little brats with alcoholic parents all got too much for them - I know it did for me. Pity, because otherwise a nice hotel - far better than one would expect to find in Spain, for example. |
