I was e-mailed and asked time of arrival. I gave time and e-mail reply told me that was fine and the Manager would there to meet us. The directions to the apartment were non existant, therefore, difficult to find. On arrival there was no manager to meet us and the Porter said he had not seen anyone from the Hotel who apparently own the appartment. On contacting the Hotel I was asked to go to the Hotel to sign a contract and pick up the key. I explained that I had received an e-mail that said the manager would meet us at the Hotel with the key. I explained I had difficulty in finding the apartment and did not intend to start looking for a Hotel I had never heard of. After two hours someone turned up and was very off hand asking me who had told me to go direct to the apartment. I showed him the e-mail. He used his mobile to locate a key which I understand was with someone from the Liverpool football team who had been looking at the apartment for a long term let. After two hours someone turned up with a key and we were let into the apartment. At no time was an apology given
As we were only in Liverpool for one night this time lasp, cut down considerably on the things we had planned. However, the apartment was clean and well presented , the views were stunning.

By day, we explored the many and amazing sights of the city, helped by the lovely people of Liverpool, who couldn't do enough to make sure we enjoyed their wonderful city. At the end of each day we came back to the penthouse fit to drop but laden with goodies to cook in the well-equipped kitchen. Glass in hand, we watched dusk fall over the Mersey, the Welsh hills and the Liver Building and then the sun setting over the sea in the distance. Wow! Stunning views from a stunning apartment.

It wasn't made clear that you hade to register at the Sir Thomas Hotel which was situated in the centre of Liverpool, & consequently was difficult to patk if you arrived by car. Upon registration, the Manager said tha I would have difficulty finding the Hotel & that he would come with me. On arrival at the Apartment (which looked like an office block), I waa shown my parking spot - a car space accommodating 3 cars on a split level with a key to raise or lower the floor levels & it was slow.
The apartment was lovely with excellent views from 3 sides overlooking the Mersey & surrounding areas. Although beautifully furnished, it had not been looked after by previous occupants & there were a number of scuffs & scratches on tables etc. The Apartment could also do with a different cleaner, as on arrival, there were a lot of glass stains on the tables & worksurfaces & also some crumbs & bits on the floor. Although there was a dishwasher, there was no tea towel for quick items. When we arrived back from shopping at about 5pm, we could not access the accomodation from the entrance & the concierge was nowhere to be seen. We eventually went in through the car park. I did phone the Sir Thomas to ask for an access code to the main entrance but was told that I couldnt have one & was I sure the concierge wasn't there - they did say that there was no problem going through the car park & couldn't understand why it was a problem to do so - I want access through the front door, not the back, & had I been alone, going through an empty car park is not an ideal! The Apartment was lovely though, and for 2 couples sharing would be ideal, its just a shame that everyone who had stopped there previously hadn't respected the property. The views are spectatcular & the location is great, but I felt that it was pricey for what it was. Definately worth staying in though, but as said before, share the cost.

Nice appartment with great views over the Mersey and Liverpool. A couple of downers though, the required parking permit was not provided and the master bed was extreamly uncomfortable, we think the frame was broken.
