A clean, friendly hotel & a perfect location for anyone visiting Southwell racecourse. The hotel even sent out a car to pick us up from the course as all the local taxi firms were booked - first class service. |

The heated towel rail was on full in the bathroom - this meant the bathroom was too hot for any use of the mirror for make up - the room was too dark! There was no way we could turn it off! The room was badly ventilated with only one window that didnot open far. The whole 2nd floor was incredibly hot. It was a warm evening but the hotel should have provided fans as they do not have air con. We asked for the towel rail to be turned off and for a fan but neither request was met. We had a very uncomfortable night's rest as the room temperature was unacceptable. The fire alarm went off at 5.55am and was turned off approx 5 mins later as we wefre about to leave our room - no apology as we checked out after breakfast. |

dissatisfied with the booking arrangements - my booking was for two nights in the Executive suite instead i was given feeble excuse that the room was not available and was placed in a single standard room, then having to switch for the second night to a four poster room which smelled of cigarette smoke and was noisy due to being at the front of the building. |
