Anyone on foot without a car will need to know that The Hill is about a mile up the road called Pen-y-pound srarting near Tesco Metro.Upon arriving at the centre guests will need to be assured that accomodation is provided within the main building so go to reception. They will need to ask directions to the breakfast room which is a bit of a walk through the complex. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The interior of the building is immaculate.I had the overall impression that the staff were surprised I was not at the summer school due to start the following morning.Food was good and served in a friendly way.The room was really good. I would recommend The Hill for anyone going to a conference or course there but not if they were just going to stay. The Hill was over budget for my needs but I hope these comments will be helpful.Thanks. |

This hotel is a conference centre. It is a grand old building refurbishedand located in a tranquil are of the town, which is about 1 mile distant. The reception was bery friendly and helpful, the room was very clean. If you wish to have an evening meal it is better to book beforehand, i.e before you arrive. I did not have an evening meal although food was vailable even though I had not pre-booked. Breakfast was good and the service excellent. I will certainly stay again if in the area. |
